When it comes to having a dentist, or any other professions in your basket to call upon, watch out for these guys on these insurance sites. If your like me and don’t really have a traditional doctor that you go to all the time. Lot of us here in SF are transplants, so I imagine that this is the case most of the time, then its hard to find someone you trust, or even know.

Don’t go the insurance website route:

So I went to the PPO site to find a dentist that was close to my work or home. Many were very close but I had the problem of trying to decide based only on a name. There wasn’t any sort of profile, or stats on ‘patients treated’ (like an ebay rating system). All there was is dentists name and address and phone number. So I picked a name that seemed like of fun and went with it.

A gentle dentist and thus the gentle toothbrush is where I’m at:

They sit me down and just pound on my mouth. I was used to a mild mannered dentist that took care to make sure I was comfortable (like a masseuse on a bad day…because it is a dentist’s office). Hence I say that that hurts, in the only way you can with all the tubes and shite in your mouth. And basically they laugh, these Russians think I’m a girly man because I can’t take the gums bleeding pain. I’m appalled…truly.

Hello…Who is the customer here:

I’m saddened by the fact that they take SO LITTLE CARE in a patient and just keep grinding away. They even spilled water on me and didn’t even notice and when I pointed it out they kind of just shrugged.

Anyone else have an experience with a dentist, maybe of Russian decent,
to verify this type of treatment?

With the popularity of TV shows like Queer Eye and My big fat obnoxious fiance, men are getting more make overs. In these shows the men get their back hair shaved and it is catching on. These males are driven to this from the opposite sex because of the social presure from shows like these. This manscaping, or shaving the man’s body of hair in places tradtionally not done, is really taking off.

The place for a Male Brazilian bikini wax:

For example this spa in San Francisco called TruSpa. They are doing Brazilian bikini waxes on men. Called a “Boyzilian” by the makeup and cosomologists in the day spa, it really seems to be one of these trends caused by the rise of a metrosexual class. What is next, who knows? Very interesting subject that needs more explaination.

Anyone out there willing to talk about their manuscaped experiences. Please, info on metrosexual trends excites San Francisco!

You know the boat motor company Evinrude? Would love to know where the dealers are in the bay area on this one. I say bay area because none are to be found in the city of San Francisco. There must be a fair amount of boat dealers in the city, right? I see plenty of sailboats for sale signs around.

I’ve heard a lot about boat sales in the sf bay area. Anyone know about these? Is it true you can live on a boat for less then in the apartments in San Francisco. Its especially pricey on the north end of that penninsula. Could you rent a boat and live off of it? Would would be the going rate? How much room does a boat really have? I have a feeling that one might be able to realistacally have a better quality of life living on a boat…know any sales…I’d donate a spare?

San Francisco restaurants are always booked for Valentines day, so its best to call ahead. Well…an Indian restaurant called Maharani got a call asking for a specific table. See this place has this Fantasy room that is really neat. You get a private booth with pillows and curtains! I specifically said “This reservation is for the fantasy room right?” The man on the other line assumed me this was the case. I was a victim of a bait and switch. This Indian restaurant overbooked the “Fantasy Room” and tryied to get me to take a normal table…didn’t happen.
