Anyone have tips on where to go flyfishing in northern california? I would imagine the season is starting soon and there has to be some great places to go since it rained so hard this year.

  1. How much is a bay area boat going to cost me?

I get asked this question all the time. Everyone wants a boat, but noone can pull together the kind of cash it takes to get one up and sailing. So the scoop is that is takes some nice coin to own a boat in the bay area. Here are some of the latest figures on this sort:

Boat Cost: Ranges anywhere from 5 digits to 7 digits. Look for something affordable because the real costs come in other places.
Marina Storage: Keeping your seaworthy vessal at a place like the Marina District harbor is mind blowing, be prepared for costly times.
Ship Maintenence: Ships cost a fair amount to keep going, the old sailor\’s trick is to say $100 per foot per year.
